Don't let a bad timing chain destroy your engine! If the timing chain breaks while the engine is running, then your run the possibility of cracking the head and bending the valves. The camshaft and rocker assembly can also break in half. Timing chains are often neglected and is an "out of mind out of site" sort of maintenance. If your timing chain has many miles, and is starting to stretch, then it will affect your pump timing and can lead to rough running, excessive smoke and hard starting. This kit will fit all 116 123 and 126 body Mercedes 1977-1985 with the 4 or 5 cylinder non-turbo or turbo diesel engine.
